MonyMony Local does not collect, send or sell your data. Everything you record is stored only on your device.

What data the app handles

The app stores the information you enter: accounts, transactions, categories, currencies, exchange rates, debts and their payments. It also stores a few preferences, such as the theme, the date of your last backup and your answers to the initial questions, plus drafts of any forms you leave half-finished.

Everything is stored in your device's local storage: the browser's storage if you use the web version, or a local database if you use the Android or iPhone app.

What we don't do

• We don't ask you to create an account, or for your email, or for a password.
• We have no servers that receive or store your data.
• We use no analytics, advertising, trackers or third-party services in the app.
• We don't share or sell data to anyone.

Internet connection

The app sends your data nowhere. The web version uses the internet only to download itself (and its updates) from mymonymony.com; after that it works offline. The Android and iPhone apps don't need internet.

Backups

When you export a backup, the app creates a file with your data and you decide where to keep it: your downloads, your email or the cloud service you choose. That file is subject to the terms of the place where you store it.

The file is not encrypted. It contains your financial data as it is, so keep it somewhere safe and don't share it with anyone who shouldn't see it.

System backups

On Android and iPhone, if you have Google or iCloud backups turned on, the operating system may include the app's data in those backups, depending on your device settings and the terms of Google or Apple.

Website

mymonymony.com and app.mymonymony.com use no cookies or analytics. They are served through Cloudflare, which may process technical connection data, such as the IP address, to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks, under its own privacy policy.

Permissions

The app doesn't ask for access to your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone. It only uses the browser download or the system share menu when you export a backup.

How to delete your data

Uninstall the app or clear the site's data in your browser. Since no copy exists on our servers, nobody else keeps your data, except the backups you have saved and any system backups you have turned on.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not collect data from any person.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date.
